We're all victims of commercialism, albeit at varying degrees - those of us who choose to spend our time and efforts buying into the brand ideals, will never be satisfied as desperation and greed fuel out psyches and allow us to become consumers on ever level, in every facet our our lives. The hyper-commercialist is easily susceptible to the ways of the marketer.
I mean really, do you personally know anyone who lives off the land anymore? Who doesn't own a cell-phone or use the internet as a form of communication? Who is truly cut-off from the outside world?
